Written by Disney music-meisters Howard Ashman and Alan Menken and premiered off-Broadway in 1982, but scored in the style of early 60s rock'n'roll, doo-wop and Motown, this evergreen comedy-horror rock musical has never been out of fashion.

Originally produced at the Orpheum Theatre, New York City by the WPA Theatre, David Geffen, Cameron Mackintosh and the Shubert Organization.
